Wegmans is tied for the title of America’s favorite grocery store.
The Gates-based grocer holds first place, along with Publix Super Markets in a new study by consumer science management company Market Force. Market Force surveyed more than 12,000 shoppers. Wegmans and Publix both scored 77% on the Customer Loyalty Index.
Wegmans ranked highest for its specialty department service and a close second for item availability.
The grocery chain also came in first place overall last year, dethroning Trader Joe’s which held the top spot for four years prior.
